Frozen fruit truly is the next best thing to fresh.  Improved methods of flash freezing fruits at its peak of freshness captures the nutrients and vitamins contained within them.  While some argue that it is difficult to know how quickly the fruit has been process after being harvested, it must also be considered that fresh fruits picked fresh, transported and then displayed, could possibly be sitting for days on grocery shelves.  Fruits and vegetables begin to lose gradual amounts of their nutritional value as soon as they are harvested, and must either be eaten as soon as possible or processed through freezing or canning to preserve their nutritional content.

 

The important thing for everyone to consider is that a balanced diet containing proteins, grains, vegetables and fruits will help each person to be healthier and more nutritionally stable.  Choosing some of nature’s most perfect and complete foods such as fruits can supply much needed vitamins and minerals as well as decrease risks of serious diseases.  Not only is fruit a necessary component of any diet, it will also prove to be a delicious treat.  There are fewer foods on earth that can be as nutritious and versatile as fruit.
